What's in a name?
Just where does Terrabreak come from? And how does it relate to Cessna/ONR AIAA Design/Build/Fly? We'll, lets break it down for you:
Terra: The earth; earth.
Break:
Brake:
So, to put the pieces together:
Terra: The earth; earth.
Break:
- To cause to separate into pieces suddenly or violently; smash.
- To divide into pieces, as by bending or cutting: break crackers for a baby.
- To separate into components or parts: broke the work into discrete tasks.
- To snap off or detach: broke a twig from the tree.
Brake:
- A device for slowing or stopping motion, as of a vehicle, especially by contact friction
- Something that slows or stops action.
So, to put the pieces together:
- TerraBrake (v.): The method of using the earth as a device for slowing or stopping
- TerraBreak (v.): The method of using the earth to cause a sudden separation into pieces
