2005 Photos are up! posted by Lone Shepherd on April 27, 2005
I've put up my photos for each team on the hangar pages, so check'em out. If any of you guys have team pics with your aircraft and want them on the site, send'em my way.
We'll have unofficial results up shortly as well.Congratulations All! posted by Lone Shepherd on April 25, 2005
Well, we're back home and have had a good night's sleep. The next few weeks will be busy for us as we tabulate all the info and photos we gathered this weekend. We may even have a surprise or two for you!
We'd like to thank Greg Page and the contest administrators for allowing us to help officiate this year; we really enjoyed helping out. Congratulations go out to all teams, of course, but I would be remiss without giving a nod to this year's top three: OSU Black, OSU Orange, and Washington State University. Here are the photos of you guys that I snapped on Sunday:
OSU Black
OSU Orange
WSU Wazzugar Flieger
Also, as you can see we're back to the more subdued Blue theme for the site. Eventually we'll fiddle with the css and allow you all to choose what color scheme you'd like to use while navigating TerraBreak.org, but for now we're gonna focus on getting some content up for this year. In the meantime, why not drop by our Forum and talk about this year's contest?
Saturday scores posted by Lone Shepherd on April 23, 2005
In lieu of putting up all the stuff in our database and updating hangar pages, we've decided to go drinking.
Here is the scoreboard as it stood at the end of Saturday.
Additionally, we thought you might enjoy this picture. Click on it for a larger version:
We had fun officiating today and will see you all tomorrow. . .good luck!
Today's data is up posted by Lone Shepherd on April 23, 2005
The data we've collected today is up for the teams that have gone through tech inspection.
Currently Mississippi State leads the RAC race with 6.233. They are followed closely, however, by ITU's ATA-6 aircraft at 6.6 and UIUC's (Un)stable Mable at 6.991.
Of course, keep in mind that these RACs are unofficial numbers computed by us TerraBreak guys.
Congrats to those who finished Tech Inspection today, and we'll see you all tomorrow! (or in about 6 hours, as the case may be).
It's here!!! posted by Xyii on April 22, 2005
Competition has officially begun! Welcome to Webster Field!
An update of today...Some teams have passed their tech inspections, there were some good test flights, and Mike, Tim, Larry, and I all had a good time exercising our new roles as "officials" at the competition. Now we're hard at work updating the website with the info that we gathered today. Meanwhile, you DBF'ers are out partying in Lexington Park (or making last minute updates on your airplanes).
If you didn't get one today, be sure to pick up a TerraBreak questionairre tomorrow. It's filled with lots of fun DBF questions, and of course the best responses will be posted for your amusement!
See you tomorrow!
Bev
Call for Papers posted by Lone Shepherd on April 07, 2005
With 2 weeks to go until competition, TerraBreak.org would like to request reports from this year for publication on our site at the one week mark.
PDF format preferred, but Word or whatever else is fine as well. Email the reports to mike@terrabreak.org, and I'll put them on TerraBreak on April 14th.
If your team has qualms about your report being posted here with a week left until competition, we would still like to publish your report here, and will respect your wishes to not post it until competition begins -- just let us know in the email.
So, please. . .email us those reports you worked so hard on!
