TerraBreak.org: An independent Design/Build/Fly (DBF) support site

Leaning from mistakes from the previous year the Junior and Senior Class started out to design an entry for the competition early in the school year. Monty's Revenge was heavy but a strong plane. Being heavy was an advantage; Wichita, KS had 30 MPH cross winds that caused many planes to crash. Great for spectators but hell for the builders watching their plane flying backwards. We learned this year that if we want to win we needed to be lighter.
